In many cases, vision insurance can lower these annual expenses.A vision insurance policy is not the same as health insurance. Regular health insurance plans protect you against financial losses due to unexpected eye injuries or disease. Vision insurance, on the other hand, is a wellness benefit designed to provide routine eye care, prescription eyewear and other vision-related services at a reduced cost. Because we provide both medical and routine eye care, we accept a number of insurance plans to help so if you do not see your plan listed here, please give us a call and we would be happy to assist you. We are always available to answer any questions regarding your benefits. There is no way to know prior to the examination which type of insurance will apply or with whom our office will be able to file a claim for you. We make every effort to be a provider on every major carrier for your convenience and we will file those claims for you when there is a medical problem. In the event that we do not take your major medical/vision insurance, we will provide you with an itemized receipt so that you may file with your carrier for reimbursement. The plans we currently accpet are: Vision Insurance plans we currently accept: Aetna, Beechstreet, BlueCross BlueShield, BlueCigna, DMBA, Eyemed, Educators Mutual, Humana, Molina Heathcare, Medicare, PEHP, United Healthcare, Vision Care Direct, and VSP. If you do not see your plan listed, please give us a call and we'll be happy to assist you as some smaller plans we accept are not listed.
